Nathan & Sarah Esala

Nathan and Sarah Esala have been working with Lutheran Bible Translators in Ghana since 2003. Currently they are working in the development of a translation of the New Testament into the Likonl dialect.

They have four children: Karissa, Annaka, Aili and Isaac.

John & Pamela Okinda, MSOMI Academy

After years of fruitful work in Nairobi, Kenya's capital city, John and Pamela Okinda were called by God to go back to their home town of Migori, Kenya. Since 2000, they have planted the Migori Worship Center and other smaller churches in nearby villages. They began MSOMI Academy where they currently house and educate more than 200 orphaned and underprivileged children. Because of lack of available training in rural areas for pastors and church leaders, they started a Bible college. And in 2008 they launched a teachers college.

The Okindas are seeking out ways to help in their poverty stricken region by developing agrictultural coops, helping provide medical resources, providing clean water for nearly 800 people, and more.

Cheryl Harrison

Cheryl Harrison is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has been involved with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) since 1983. She helped to pioneer the YWAM Latvia work in 1993. There are now close to 50 full time staff workers in Latvia, as well as many short term volunteers, teams and students.

Cheryl is the National Team Leader of YWAM Latvia. She works with various operating locations in Latvia coordinating people and projects, and serving ministry leaders. She also serves on the Northern European Leadership Team (NELT) for YWAM in the region.

Cheryl is part of a pioneering YWAM team in Riga, whose purpose is to impact all spheres of society. Presently ministries are functioning in the areas of: music, media, arts, people with disabilities, human traffiking, discipleship, education and government.
